Identity
Stable technology IDs, canonical names, and aliases help you recognise the same technology across different sources.
Free public resource
The Queast technology taxonomy is a structured catalogue of software technologies: their names, aliases, categories, and relationships. It is free for anyone to browse and use in their own projects.
Why it exists
The same technology can appear under different names across job advertisements, company websites, and datasets. Products get renamed, abbreviations vary, and a flat list of names tells you little about how technologies relate.
Queast maintains the taxonomy to give those names a consistent reference. Stable IDs preserve identity, aliases connect alternative names, and classifications and relationships add context. Teams can use the same vocabulary across their software, analysis, and research.
What is inside
Explore languages, frameworks, libraries, databases, platforms, tools, and other technology concepts in one public catalogue.
Free to use
You do not need to be a Queast customer to use the taxonomy. Browse the catalogue, download a versioned JSON release, or use it as a reference in your own tools and research.
The taxonomy dataset is published under CC0-1.0. You can copy, modify, and redistribute it. See the dataset license for its scope and details.
